A fungus found in a Roanoke building forced 50 employees out of their work space yesterday.

The top floor of the Fountain Square building on second street -- occupied by Carilion -- was found to have a fungus similar to that found in a typical basement.
While not hazardous, the growth was causing unpleasant smells and inducing allergy-like symptoms.
