Authorities in the Bahamas believe the small plane which Aaliyah was on crashed upon take off.
Seven other passengers in the plane were also killed.

Police are investigating a shooting that killed a Dublin man yesterday. Pulaski County deputies responded to a 9-1-1 call on Ingles Ferry Road shortly before 5 last evening and found 22 year old Cary Madison Bragg dead. Witnesses said several people were target practicing at the time of the shooting. Deputies have charged Victor Leroy Brown with second degree murder.

Brown is being held at the Regional Jail in Dublin. [Soltys-Mom]

Police are still searching for a Ukrainian immigrant who they believe killed six family members.
Authorities believe he may be headed to Charlotte, North Carolina.
Nikolay Soltys has family in Charlotte and actually lived in the area for about six months in 1999.
Agents fear he might be on his way to the area to kill his remaining family members.
His mother is urging her son to turn himself in.

Officials are keeping Vavara and other family members in seclusion because they fear he may harm them too.

A Buchanan County judge has reversed his own earlier ruling and will allow the evidence to remain in a lab in California for now.
The Buchanan County coal miner was put to death eight years ago for the rape and murder of his sister-in-law. The judge issued a new ruling this week following a request from four newspapers and a group in New Jersey. They asked that the evidence remain safely frozen while they appealed his decision not to allow new tests to the Virginia Supreme Court.

Barr's Fiddle Shop has been in business for more than 20 years... The seeds were planted in 1973, when famed fiddle maker Albert Hash persuaded Tom Barr to build his first instrument.

Since that first fiddle, Barr has made more than 500 instruments, and he makes his living with a full-service music shop.
There are band instruments here, and electric guitars lining the walls, but it's the acoustic guitars, banjos, and fiddles that have made this shop a community center.

Hundreds of riders took part in the second annual "Hogs for Dogs" fundraiser to benefit the Saint Francis of Assisi Service Dog Foundation.
Each Biker paid a ten dollar entry free to ride around the city for several hours.
The foundation will now use the money to help train dogs for people who are physically and emotional disabled.
