Jeff George played the entire first half, and the Patriots' defense had a field day at his expense. Roman Pheifer blows through the block, and sacks George. It would only get worse for the 11 year veteran as Pheifer sacks him again, tips the ball and Matt Vrabel picks off the pass in midair. George had two interceptions in the first half. The pounding wasn't over. The Patriots come with the blitz and George has nowhere to hide. To his credit, he would hang in the game and lead the Skins to a late T-D with a nice toss to Kevin Lockett.
