Many Virginians have already begun to gather in prayer and mourning for victims and their families.

Keith, several members of St. Johns have been touched by this tragedy.

Mary Lou Trey planned on calling her son to wish him a happy birthday tonight.
Instead, she'll spend the day in church praying and on the phone trying just to get in touch with him.
He works as an insurance agent in the World Trade Center.

Reverend John Perris has been working diligently to bring his parish together in prayer.
He too has personal worries on his mind... his mother works for a law firm just blocks from the site of the initial attack.

The local Red Cross has put more than 50 volunteers on alert for a possible deployment to the disaster areas.
That comes as many residents are already turning out in full force to donate blood.
