The F-A-A's order "to ground all planes" was transmitted to Roanoke Regional Airport at about 10:30 yesterday morning, nearly two hours after the first airliner hit the World Trade Center.
Passengers scheduled to leave Roanoke were notified of the cancellations by the airlines.
Officials ask that you refrain from calling the Roanoke Regional Airport for flight information.
They say you'll be better off calling individual airlines.
