U-S officials say Jarrah was aboard the United Flight that crashed near Pittsburgh.
Jarrah had lived in Germany and studied aircraft construction there before he went to the U-S.
But his family insists he's innocent and if he were on the plane, he would have been a victim.
The allegation that Lebanese nationals may have been involved has prompted the government to try and distance itself from the attacks.
The U-S Ambassador to Lebanon discussed Washington's endeavors for a world coalition against terrorism- with Lebanese foreign ministry officials.

As a result, some airlines are reducing service.
U-S Airways will cut its full-size jet service into Roanoke as part of a plan to reduce its capacity by 23-percent.
Right now, 6 of the 18 planes that fly into Roanoke Regional are 99-seat jets.
Airport officials say the loss of those big planes will slice into revenue.

Volvo's New River Valley plant takes a hit from the slow economy.

Volvo officials say the workforce will be cut by 100 and the line rate will also be reduced.
That's the number of trucks produced at the plant each day.
At the end of November the Dublin facility will cut production by 10... meaning a reduction from 60-trucks a day to 50.
Volvo says new truck orders have been decreasing steadily since last year.
The New River Valley facility will also be off line for a week in November.

A standoff in Danville this afternoon ended in gunfire.
Police say Nathaniel Spratt Junior barricaded himself inside a house on Lee Street.
Spratt was wanted for a shooting last night.
Police say they were negotiating with Spratt when he shot himself in the head. He was taken to Danville Regional Medical Center where he's in critical condition.
The victim in last night's shooting, Stanley Neal Brown is in critical condition at Duke Medical Center.

Major League baseball rolled on last night as Boston got some bad news today when it was made official that the season is over for Boston's three-time Cy Young Award winner, Pedro Martinez, who is headed for the disabled list. Martinez says his ailing right shoulder will prevent him from pitching the rest of the year.

A local radio station helped rally the people to the National Sports Center in Blain Minnesota.
2-thousand, 4-hundred pieces of colored board were used to make the symbol of hope and peace.
It took place one week to the minute after the first attack on the World Trade Center.
