Since last week's terrorist attacks, many passengers are choosing other forms of transportation. Others are avoiding travel altogether. As a result the airport is losing money it would have made in parking fees and concession sales. In October, the airport will also lose some of the revenue brought in by landing fees after US Airways pulls all six of its jets out of Roanoke. Now, officials are working on cutting spending and boosting consumer confidence in air travel.
