Vincente Rafael Pierre was arraigned in federal court today- on weapons charges.

He was arrested yesterday at a Muslim enclave in Charlotte County.

The indictment charges Pierre with illegally obtaining a pistol in Spout Springs in 1998. Authorities say Pierre's "common-law" wife bought the 45-caliber pistol for him, because- -as a convicted felon- -he can't legally buy or possess a firearm. Law enforcement sources indicate they have NO DIRECT EVIDENCE linking Pierre to last week's terrorist attacks, but they say he has ties to Al (Few-kra) Fuqra.
That's a violent sect of black Muslims that was linked to the 1993 bombing of the World Trade Center.

The young royal joined his dad for three days before he takes off to St. Andrews University to begin fall classes. Cheering crowds greeted their motorcade all the way to an old mill, which will be transformed into homes by one of Prince Charles' charities. After that, the 19 year old prince stopped by a housing estate which has been the spot of recent racial tension. (------------) There, they met community leaders to look at the Prince's work with underprivileged teenagers.
