Fire crews say they could see flames in the air when they left their station a half mile away.
The house was engulfed in fire when the first crews arrived.. but they were able to pull one woman out before part of the building collapsed.

The Thrasher Memorial United Methodist Church celebrated its 200th anniversary with a special service this morning across the road at the Vinton War Memorial.
Paul and Sallie Thrasher formed the church in 1801 by holding services in their home.
To mark the anniversary, several members wore period costumes and the church will soon break ground on a new addition.
Today, officials from Roanoke County and the town of Vinton presented the church with several proclamations.
