((It could be a sign Afghanistan's ruling Taliban party is looking for a way out...of American retaliation for the September 11th attacks. The taliban says a message was delivered to Osama bin Laden to leave the country voluntarily. The report comes as spiritual leader Mullah Mohamed Omar says he will meet with a delegation from Pakistan on Friday. Pakistan has been urging its neighbor to listen to the Islamic world and the United Nations...but the UN is clearly not in the mood to simply "talk." Francesc Vendrell/Head of UN Special Mission for Afghanistan I'm afraid that when it comes to the issue of Bin Laden and the al-Qaeda network the time for negotiation with the Taliban on this issue is long past. Meanwhile, American military preparations for a retaliatory strike-- are moving forward... The tarmac on the Pacific Island of Guam is crammed with transports and more special operations forces. But two weeks after the tragedy, the President is sounding a cautionary note of patience. Bush: We will need patience and determination in order to succeed. Mister Bush made his comments in Chicago, where he urged Americans to return to the skies. During a visit to O'Hare Airport, the President outlined his plans to make air travel safer. They include: federal grants to upgrade aircraft with stronger cockpit doors, a video system so pilots can keep an eye on the passenger cabin, and flight data transponders that cant be turned off - as terrorists did to blind air traffic controllers.))
