While the airport will reopen, it'll be on a limited basis.
At first there will be just shuttle flights to New York and Boston- and all flights will have armed marshals on board.

Crews are finding clumps of bodies.. including those of 15 firefighters- as they remove heavy rubble from the World Trade Center site.
Now that heavy equipment is in place, crews are able to move giant steel beams and large pieces of debris.

The Associated Press is reporting that the head of security at Boston's Logan Airport will be fired. That's where two of the hijacked planes orginated.
At Newark's airport, some airlines have resumed curbside check in- and Los Angeles International may allow private

Starting November 1st, you will no longer be able to fly from Lynchburg non stop to the Washington D.C. area.
United Express announced it's discontinuing its commuter service between the two cities.

The move affects ten daily flights between Lynchburg and Washington Dulles airport.. a total of 190 passenger seats.
That represents about 42 percent of the total passenger capacity at the airport.

The head of a Roanoke County company is claiming six major brokerage firms are trying to take over his company.

Bob Kopstein of Optical Cable Corporation says Salomon Smith Barney, Merrill Lynch, U-B-S Paine Webber, The Bear Stearns Companies, A.G. Edwards and Scott and Stringfellow are selling huge blocks of his company's stock in order to devalue it.
A spokesman for Paine Webber says the notion that the firms are conspiring is totally false.
Kopstein obtained a temporary injunction that will block the firms from selling any more stock until next Wednesday.
Optical Cable Corporation is traded on the NASDAQ, and has lost 90 percent of its value in the last year.

Police are searching for a suspect, following a fatal shooting this morning outside of a northwest roanoke market.

18-year old Maurice Grogan was shot and killed in the parking lot beside the Foodway Market on Liberty Road.
Before the shooting, witnesses said Grogan was in the store with friends. He walked outside for a moment and was shot.

A man was killed this afternoon at a Franklin County road construction site when a dump truck backed over him.
It happened on (Boo-ey) Bowie Road -- just off of Route 220.
State police say a crew from Rodney Cundiff Hauling and Excavating was paving the private road.
54-year-old Henry Rodney Cundiff told police he backed his dump truck up and accidentally struck 67-year-old John William Meeks.
Meeks was working for Cundiff.
Apparently, no one witnessed the accident.

The 37-year old was riding her motorcycle on Route 460 in Bedford County Friday evening when she was struck head-on by a car going the wrong way. Minton died the following morning. Her fellow Harley riders say she'll be missed.
