The Gun is about 10 feet high and has a net that surrounds the basket. Balls are shot, then they funnel down through the net and into the machine and are spit back out at the shooter.

New NBDL Roanoke Dazzle coach Kent Davison, whose son Andrew is a guard for the Knights, loaned the Gun to Cave Spring.

The Gun can pass up to a thousand balls an hour and has a sensor which keeps track of how many shots are made and tells the shooter what percentage of shots go through.

The Roanoke Dazzle and the N-B-D-L will hold a local player tryout camp Saturday and Sunday October 13-th and 14th at Roanoke College.
The camp will be open to no more than 100 participants.
