Hurricane Iris may have taken the lives of 20 members of a Richmond diving club.
Iris slammed ashore in the Central American nation of (Ba-Leeze) Belize.
That's where the diving club's chartered boat capsized. Since officials had ordered evacuations on land, the divers had no choice but to try to ride out the hurricane on their boat.
So far, eight survivors are accounted for.

The Supreme Court is refusing to give Microsoft a chance to avoid punishment for anti-trust violations.

The case is now in the hands of a lower court judge, who has ordered both sides to engage in intense settlement talks.

A scare today- for passengers at a Metro train station near D-C.
That after an armed man scuffled with police and sprayed some kind of substance from a jar... and fired a shot in the air.

Fire department hazardous materials teams in protective ruber suits responded.. and officials are trying to figure out exactly what the substance was. They say it doesn't appear it is a biological agent.

The scare is real in Florida where one man has died from Anthrax and another has been exposed to the germ- Authorities believe the Anthrax cases there are no accident.
Meanwhile here in Virginia, a patient was tested for anthrax, but that came back negative- and a building is being checked in Kentucky.

((It is a criminal act but not an act of terrorism. That's what investigators now believe as they continue to probe the deadly anthrax attack at this Bocal Raton , Florida work place.
The anthrax killed one employee and traces of it turned up in the nasal passages of another worker who is in stable condidition. This led to the immediate shutdown of - AMI - America Media Incorporated. The entire facility has been checked for anthrax spores. It's 300 employees and hundreds of others who'VE been at the location since August 1, are being tested. Mike Perez/ I'm not scared but concerned obviously, because one person died. Kristina Meyers Jennifer Jones Bridge: This Florida Building is now one of two locations shut down because of an anthrax scare.. investigators in Kentucky have sealed off an IRS builidng because of concerns there. Covington, Kentucky It happened in Covington, Kentucky. An employee alerted security officials after she opened a letter containing a white powder. Police took no chances, locking down the building and de-contaminating the employee, who was then taken to the hospital. This after a Virginia man, complaining of flu-like symptons, tested negative for anthrax. Dr. Thomas Ryan, Prince William Hospital The man said he worked in a building that was owned by AMI in Fairfax. As far as we know, he has not been in Florida. Prince George's County. And outside of Washington DCTERMS...a subway station was shut down. It happened after Police asked a passenger for identification.
