Authorities were called after a woman there opening her mail noticed a white, powdery substance falling out of an envelope.
She immediately washed her hands and called 9-1-1.

A woman there says a white powder fell out of the newspaper she was reading.

It will be another 24-hours before Pulaski County officials will have test results on a suspicious powder. The white-gray substance was sent to the New River Health District after being discovered by a maintenance worker yesterday morning. It was in a newspaper near the courthouse on Main Street.

The F-B-I has released the pictures of these envelopes that contained the anthrax sent to Tom Brokaw and Senate Majority leader Tom Daschle.
Both are post marked Trenton New Jersey and have the same handwriting.
In Afghanistan, U-S warplanes dropped more bombs on Kabul today, hitting terrorist targets and troops.
An international red cross building may also have been hit.
The pentagon says it's looking into it.

That means at least 70 percent of the students in those schools have passed the tests in four core subject areas.

On the low end of the spectrum, seven percent of Virginia are still "accredited with warning."
That means the schools' pass rates are 20 percent or more below the progress benchmarks for that school.
That number dropped from 13 percent last year.

A woman in Independence who faces first degree and capital murder charges wants her day in court on SEPARATE days.

Attorneys for Betty Jean Angeline filed a motion in Grayson County Circuit Court to have the two cases against her tried separately. On Friday, the defense will argue there's a lack of evidence linking the cases to the same plot and that they should be tried separately.
