With antibiotics in the news so much these days, some doctors want to remind the public that over-prescribing them can be dangerous.

A two- year study of about 300 doctors in the central Virginia area shows that 50-percent of patients with upper respiratory infections were given antibiotics... but only ten percent actually needed them.
Officials say that's helping bacteria develop that are more drug- resistant.

Kuhfeldt decided on breast implants --right now she is undergoing the expansion process. That's where a balloon like device is placed underneath the chest --and over the course of weeks continually filled with saline.

Ingrid scores over 16 points in the 26 minutes she plays a game. Ingle averages 10 to 12 minutes a contest. They seem to have playing time and getting along down to a science. Diedre and Amy Gillespie are also close and the chemistry and togetherness they, along with the other sisters acts, bring is a definite key. ((:)) ((:))

Appalachian Trail hikers who pass through Virginia are finding new and improved trailside accomodations.

The Appalachian Trail Club recently completed construction on a new trail shelter on the Montgomery and Craig county line. Sarver Hollow Shelter replaces a former corn crib from the 1800's that had been listed on trail maps as a place for hikers to spend the night. Volunteers donated muscle power to the project starting in January and wrapped up construction in August. But they say the work will never be finished.
