On Monday-- fire, rescue and law enforcement were sent to Friendship Manor retirement community after a postal worker and employee detected a white powdery substance on some mail. Roanoke County's fire and rescue chief says in this case all departments were needed to handle the situation. But Roanoke County's dispatchers will no longer automatically call out fire and rescue if someone reports something suspicious.
