State police say 41-year-old David Lawson of Copper Hill crossed into the oncoming lane of traffic and hit a farm truck.

A Northwest Roanoke teenager who was thrown from the back of a car yesterday has died from her injuries.
Roanoke Police say 15-year-old Brittany Anthony was sitting on the trunk of a friend's car, when her friend pulled away.
Anthony fell onto the pavement, injuring her head and neck.
Police say the 17-year-old driver said she did NOT know the girl was sitting on the trunk.
Anthony was a student at William Fleming High School.

Officers say Hugh Edwards hit another car while going the wrong direction on North Franklin Street yesterday. The 87-year-old apparently turned into oncoming traffic as he pulled out of a shopping center parking lot. He was taken to Montgomery Regional Hospital where he died. The driver and passenger of the other car were treated and released.
