Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
Lawmakers are torn between a Senate-approved measure that would make airport screeners government employees, and a Republican proposal that would NOT.
The vote is seen as very close, and President Bush is lobbying lawmakers on the fence to support the Republican plan.
Meanwhile, two new cases have extended the anthrax threat from the East Coast to the Midwest.
Preliminary tests found traces of anthrax at a postal center in Kansas City, AND at a private postal maintenance center in Indianapolis.
Aleen Sirgany joins us now from the Capitol with an update on all the new developments.

Our last News 7-Mason Dixon poll on the race for governor is in -- and it's the best news Virginia Democrats have had since 1989.
(------------)
[VO-NAT]

Just two weeks ago, our poll showed Mark Warner with 45 percent support among likely voters, to Mark Earley's 42 percent.
Tuesday, Warner's lead grew to six points, 48 to 42 percent.
That's largely due to a 19 point lead in northern Virginia, an eight point lead in Roanoke and Southwest, and a lead that has grown to ten points in Hampton Roads.
But Mark Warner's also winning the personality contest, according to our pollsters.
His favorable name recognition has leapt five points in two weeks, to 49 percent.
Mark Earley's has stayed the same at 39 percent.
But while Warner's UNfavorable name recognition grew just one point in the last two weeks -- Earley's jumped SIX points.

Then Jeter, who had been 1-for-15 in the Series, stepped up and served the game- winning blast to right field. The Yankees win it 4-3 tying the series at 2 games a-piece. Game five is tonight in New York.
