The package sent to City Hall in New York containing traces of anthrax was mailed from N-B-C two weeks ago.
The network says the package was most likely cross contaminated by a letter mailed to anchor Tom Brokaw.
More spores were also detected in a mail room at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in the nation's capital.

The latest Richmond Times-Dispatch poll shows Democrat Mark Warner with a thirteen point lead over his Republican challenger.

This weekend Governor Gilmore joined Senators George Allen and John Warner on a last ditch campaign swing for Mark Earley.
But one prominent Republican who has widespread popularity here in Virginia is missing from the campaign trail.

Meanwhile, this year's election will likely earn a place in Virginia history as the most expensive ever.
Election officials say the six major party candidates are shelling out at least 37 million dollars in their quest for political office.
Earley and Warner will spend most of that in their race for governor. They're on target to spend more than 30 million dollars combined in the race.

Governor Gilmore now admits the car tax cut could be in jeopardy.
Gilmore says it's too soon to tell whether a sharp decline in Virginia's economy will hurt the state's ability to complete the elimination of the car tax next year.

An irate passenger is being blamed for the crash of a Greyhound bus early this morning in Arizona.

Authorities say the passenger became angry when he was told he could NOT smoke on board.
Police say the man grabbed the wheel during a struggle with the driver as the bus traveled at 70- miles an hour.
The bus rolled on it side-- injuring more than 30- passengers, one critically.
Officials say the Phoenix man has been arrested and charged with
37 counts of aggravated assault.

20 game winners Roger Clemens and Curt Schilling were on the mound for tonight's game seven of the World Series.
Both pitchers gave up runs and it was tied at 1 to 1 in the top of the 8-th.
New York rookie Alphonso Soriano hits a solo homer to left off Schilling and the Yankees led 2 to 1 but Luis Gonzalez hits a single up the middle with the bases loaded and the Diamondbacks win the World Series 3 to 2.
The Washington Redskins have now won three in a row.
Yesterday at Fed Ex field the Skins downed the Seattle Seahawks 27 to 14.

Tony Banks got it started in the first quarter when he hooked up with Walter Rasby for this 7 yard T-D pass to make it 7 to nothing.

Stephen Davis rushed for 142 yards and this 1 yard T-D in the first quarter and the Redskins took a 20 to 7 lead at the half.
Then the Redskins opened the second half with Banks going to the air and hitting Michael Westbrook over the middle on the 14 yard pass the Skins led 27 to 7.
The Seahawks attempted a comeback in the second half but this Trent Dilfer T-D pass to Darrrel Jackson was not enough Washington wins it 27 to 14.
The Giants kept pace in the N-F-C East. Morten Andersen's 42 yard field goal in overtime gave the Giants a 27 to 24 win over Dallas.

Dallas dominated the first half Mario Edwards picks off this Kerry Collins pass picks up his blockers along the sideline and takes it 71 yards for the touchdown and the Cowboys took a 24 to 7 lead at the half.
But the Giants rallied Collins rolls out and hits Ike Hillard on this 9 yard touchdown pass play and the game was tied at 24 to 24 at the end of the fourth quarter.
Then a little over 7 minutes into overtime Andersen boots the 42 yard field goal and the Giants get the 27 to 24 win in overtime.
Kickers were the difference as the Baltimore Ravens beat Pittsburgh yesterday 13 to 10.

The Ravens would take the lead in the first quarter when Shannon Sharpe pulls in this 13 yard touchdown pass to make it 7 to 3 Baltimore.
But the Steelers would answer just before the half Kordell Stewart hooks up witht Plaxico Burress on this 21 yard touchdown pass play and the Steelers led 10 to 7 at the half.
Matt Stover would kick the winning field goal for the Ravens this 39 yarder with just over a minute remaining gave Baltimore the 13 to 10 win.
Green Bay Rallied from a 17 to 7 second half deficit to beat Tampa Bay 21 to 20.

Tampa Quarterback Brad Johnson hits Dave Moore on the this touchdown pass play and the Bucs took a 10 to 7 lead at the half.

Yesterday's 38 to 7 loss to Pittsburgh is the first time that Virginia Tech has lost 2 straight since the 1997 season.

Kenny Wallace came back he was riding in a group of cars but he was the leader at the halfway mark of the race.
Curt Busch in car Number 97 was working his way to the front he was the leader after 302 laps Nemechek was running second.
Rusty Wallace was trying to get to the front but with 33 laps to go he was in the 26-th position.
Nemechek took the lead witht over 90 laps to go and he held off Kenny Wallace to win the Pop Secret 400 for his second Winston Cup win.

And finally tonight, the Harry Potter premiere brought out the stars in full force.
A huge crowd of celebrities met in London to join the cast and crew of the movie "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone".

Daniel Radcliffe stars as the orphaned boy who is being raised by his aunt and uncle when he finds out his parents were wizards.
