The Democratic ticket leader looked relaxed for the first time in months.
He and wife Lisa Collis cast their votes just blocks from their Old Town Alexandria mansion at about eight A-M.
Warner even accused Collis of being undecided in the race, since she took longer to vote.
Outside, a confident candidate urged Virginians to vote -- even if they vote for Mark Earley -- to send a message that democracy's alive and well.
He makes the bi-partisan pitch without much fear.

According to officials, new locations for residents will not mean longer trips... each district within the county has several voting locations. Montgomery County says looking at the high number of absentee ballots, voter turnout in the region is expected to be larger than normal today. Residents with any questions on where they should vote can call the county voter registration office.
