In other news .. an early morning fire destroys a house in Vinton

The home on North Blair Street was fully involved when fire crews arrived at around three o'clock this morning.
Authorities say two people were home at the time, but managed to get out safely.
The heat from the fire was so intense, it melted the siding off a neighboring house.
It took firefighters about 20 minutes to get the blaze under control.
The house appears to be a total loss.
No word yet on what started the blaze.
The Fire Marshal is investigating.
