This is a live picture..as a forest fire burns in Roanoke county.... Firefighters have been working the blaze since two thirty this morning... and some people have been forced out of their homes.

The Fire's burning on Bent Mountain in Roanoke County....
It's been going for 15 hours... and at last check.. firefighters had half of it contained.
The flames have come close to several homes.. that's forced the evacuation of people living nearby.

Crews have also had help from two helicopters that have continuously dropped water on the mountainside. Early on fire officials encouraged more than a dozen residents to evacuate. So far there have not been any injuries or significant property damage. Firefighters hope to keep it that way, but realize it will not be easy.

The Reverend Jerry Falwell has a new cause to fight for, and he wants to change Virginia's constitution in the process.

It's all part of Legacy International, a program to help countries progress towards democracy.

The Del McCoury Band is a traditional bluegrass group, unafraid of innovation.
The band has collaborated with a diverse group of musicians including Steve Earle, and the rock band Phish... so it's no surprize the band agreed to appear with the Roanoke Ballet.

Members of The Roanoke Ballet Theatre Dance Company first flirted with bluegrass after seeing the movie "O Brother, Where Art Thou."

The New York Post reports Harrison checked out of Staten Island University Hospital on Sunday -- accompanied by his wife and three bodyguards.
A doctor there reportedly offers a special kind of radiation treatment. It attacks large and advanced tumors while leaving surrounding tissue intact.
The doctor says his technique has a 90 percent success rate. But he won't say whether he's treating Harrison.
