An Independence woman will spend the rest of her life in prison after pleading guilty to capital murder in Grayson County Circuit Court today.

Betty Jean Angeline admitted to the shooting deaths of 59-year-old Linda McNight and 62-year-old Glenda Jenkins.
The women were killed within two months of each other earlier this year. They both knew Angeline.
Her trial for first-degree and capital murder was scheduled for January.
With the plea agreement, Angeline was able to avoid the death penalty.
