Ichiro Suzuki and Albert Pujols are baseball's Rookies of the Year for the just completed season.

Suzuki is the second straight Japanese player to win the American League Rookie of the Year award. He joined the Seattle Mariners after nine seasons in the Japanese Pacific League and won a batting title with a .350 average to go with 56 stolen bases.
Pujols is an unanimous choice of the 28 voting members of the Baseball Writers Association of America for the National League honor. The 21-year-old set an N-L rookie record with 130 R-B-Is. He led the Cardinals with a .329 average, 37 homers and 112 runs.
