The fire's been burning since about 5:30 this morning. No word yet on what started it. Witnesses say firefighters have blocked off streets around the plant. We have a crew on the scene and will have more details as they become available.

It's burning in the Craig's Creek area... close to the Appalachian Trail. Crews with the George Washington and Jefferson National Forest are handling the overall management of the fire... with some helicopter support...

One lucky pooch will be named fastest wiener dog in the nation, complete with a trip to a doggie spa, one-thousand dollars and a year's supply of dog food.

A group of local students is finding out first hand what it's like to be homeless.

About two dozen students took part in the "Night Without a Home" sleep out event in Roanoke.
The event attempted to give youths a glimpse of the struggles homeless people face each day. The students converted cardboard boxes into shelter for most of the night.
