Authorities say there's new hope that a convicted killer may finally confess where the body of one of of his victims is.

John Colclasure is gravely ill and expects to die in prison.
Craig County officials say he recently told them he is ready to tell where he buried the body of Gene McPherson, the brother of Sheriff B-B McPherson. Sheriff McPherson says getting the body would lift a huge burden on his family, but he's skeptical. Colclasure pleaded guilty in 19-89 to killing McPherson as part of a murder-for-hire plot. The body was never found.

Bedford's National D-Day Memorial is hoping to decrease a five million dollar debt with a new fundraising campaign.

The foundation's president has mailed twenty-thousand letters, explaining the situation, and asking for donations of 250 dollars to pay off the debt. The letter states that the foundation incurred the debt because it rushed to finish the memorial's construction. Because of the shortfall, the foundation is currently under investigation by local, state, and federal authorities.
