George O'Leary, who accepted the job less than a week ago, has resigned.
He says he has personally embarassed the school.

O'Leary admits he falsified his background on his resume when he claimed he played football for three years at the University of New Hampshire.
In fact, he never played a single game for the school.
Notre Dame's athletic director said the breach of trust made it impossible for the school to keep O'Leary.
The 55-year-old coach guided Georgia Tech to five straight bowls, before leaving for South Bend.

Taking a look at what other schools in our region will get under the plan...
Radford University is allotted just under 30-million.
The Virginia Community College System, which runs about 23 community colleges around the state will get 139-million.
And Virginia Military Institute can expect over 31-million dollars.
Voters need to approve two-thirds of the plan and the General Assembly would have to pass the budget.

The Associated Press has declared Maryland's Ralph Friedgen as college football coach of the year.
