Danville police are looking for two suspects in an incident where an man was shot in the face.
18 year old Montae (mon-TAY) Deshaun Jackson was wounded following a disagreement on the two-hundred block of Stuart Street this morning.
Jackson has been taken to U-V-A Medical center for surgery.
The investigation is continuing.

Governor Jim Gilmore says the state budget he presents to the General Assembly on Wednesday will give state employees a two percent pay raise next year.

Also, the Richmond Times Dispatch is reporting that Gilmore will propose to advance the car tax cut from 70 percent to 100 percent in two years, despite a budget deficit nearing a billion dollars. The tax cut was supposed to be fully implemented next year, but Gilmore has already said that won't be possible
because of the state's budget woes.
Gilmore leaves office on January 12th. Governor-elect Mark Warner has promised to eliminate the tax before his four-year term ends.

The Marines stormed the Roanoke Valley this weekend for a good cause.

The Marines collected new unwrapped toys for 72 hours straight at the Tanglewood Mall from Friday to Sunday afternoon.

Each eligible family got the chance to shop for all new items such as toys, clothing, food, and other gifts.

This will be the last year the Community Christmas Store operates from that building.
A new location has yet to be found.

They'll eventually weigh nearly a hundred pounds and their tails can grow up to forty inches.
You can catch the cubs at the zoo for at least another year before they're shipped off to other zoos for breeding purposes.
