Number 10 is NUI Corporation's proposed gas pipeline...
[TAPE#=01-09 1:58:18]

the parent company of Virginia Gas, NUI wanted to build a new pipeline to bring what they say is much needed natural gas to our area.
But residents wanted the new line built along side an existing one so that less land would be destroyed.
After months duking it out, NUI finally called-off the pipeline project claiming it would be too expensive.

But the Wall Street Journal revealed that Cinergy Corporation is headed for a takeover.
The company wouldn't say what a possible merger would mean for the Martinsville plant, and said only that it refused to comment on "market rumors."
