A commission has approved a final design for a war memorial.
Earlier this year, controversy broke out as to whether the monument should be black or white.
The memorial is scheduled to be dedicated on Veteran's Day 2002 on land across from the county courthouse.
The Board of Supervisors must first approve the final design.
That should come at their January 7th meeting.
