Parts of our area are expecting the first snow of the season.
The Danville region is bracing for possibly 3 to 6 inches tonight.
Danville's Public Works department is ready with a "state of the art" system to combat ice and snow.
All day, workers have been busy making a liquid salt brine solution to pour on the roads.
They'll use that, along with the traditional rock salt and sand, to fight slippery roads.
They city's 20 snow plows are also ready to go around the clock... with workers on call for 12-hour shifts.

The fight between the two men broke out at this hockey rink in Reading,
