Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
Zacarias Moussaoui appeared before a federal judge this morning.
He actually told the judge, "I enter no plea."
But the judge says she took that to mean that Moussaoui was pleading innocent.
Moussoui is the first person to be indicted as an accomplice in the September 11th attacks.
He's accused of conspiring with the hijackers-- and with Osama bin Laden-- to kill and injure thousands.
The judge set a date of September 30th to begin jury selection.
Jim Acosta joins us from the federal courthouse in Alexandria with an update.

Federal marshals escorted the man suspected of being the 20th hijacker into an Alexandria Virginia courthouse for his arraignment on charges that he conspired to kill more than three thousand Americans.

Zacarias Moussaoui is accused of receiving money from the same sources as September 11th hijackers, training in Osama Bin Laden camps in Afghanistan, and buying the same flight tools and weapons ... before the attack.

SOT: Chuck Rosenberg, former federal prosecutor

"The evidence is circumstantial but it's quite compelling as well."
The French Moroccan was detained on immigration charges back in August -
before 9-11 - when he was taking flight training classes in Minnesota.

But Mousaoui's lawyers note their client was behind bars on September 11th.And some worry the deck is already stacked against him.

SOT: Francois Roux/ Moussaoui Family Lawyer:

Zacarias Moussaoui is presumed innocent, and he has rights.
