The Craig County sheriff's office is investigating an apparent murder-suicide.

The sheriff says David L- Fisher shot and killed his estranged wife at her Mountain View apartment-- before turning the pistol on himself. Fisher's wife, Anna Kay, taught fifth grade at McLarry Elementary. The couple's daughter discovered the pair-- around three yesterday morning and notified authorities. The sheriff says the couple was separated.

But Mother Nature produced a Sunday surprise in those areas-- that translated to rain and sleet for most of our viewing area. However, the storm still caused some problems and delays, especially in the mountains. Justin McLeod shows us how Southwest Virgnia weathered the storm.

Crews worked 12 hour shifts removing snow and treating the roads with salt.
