((Hockey dad Thomas Junta did not react to the jury's verdict of involuntary manslaughter and though supporters shed tears, the courtroom remained silent. It took more than 13 hours of deliberations over two days to convict Junta of the lesser charge. Dolores Freeman/Jury Forewoman We the jury feel the verdict was reached based on evidence and testimony presented to the jury. We feel we reached a very difficult but proper decision." Junta was taken into custody until his sentencing on January 25th when he faces as much as 20 years in prison. Martha Coakley, Middlesex District Attorney. "Unfortunately tonight there are two sets of children who do not have parents at home. There is no joy therefore in this resolution." Mary Barbuzzi/Victim's sister "Our family and Michael have paid ultimate price. It is our sincere wishes that this tragedy serves as a reminder to all." Junta and Costin physically fought on two occasions in July 2000 after arguing about rough play at their sons' hockey practice in Reading, MA.
Junta left the rink after the first confrontation, but returned minutes later to pick up his son who was still in the locker room. That's when the two men clashed again and the fight turned deadly. Junta said he only punched Costin three times...but several witnesses testified he pummeled the other father repeatedly. Costin lost conciousness...and died the next day.))

While he is leaving another talented prospect may soon be committing to the Hokies. Patrick Dosh, the six foot three inch 215 quarterback from Benedictine in Richmond has been recruited by Tech, North Carolina, Maryland, Marshall and JMU. He's visiting the Dukes in Harrisonburg this weekend where his dad Pat Dosh was a star basketball player in the mid-70's. Sources say his top choice is still Tech.

Today, Muhammad Ali got a star on the Hollywood walk of fame.
The former heavyweight champion insisted his star be installed on a wall, instead of being embedded in the sidewalk.
Ali said he didn't want to be walked on by people who "disrespect him.''
The city of Los Angeles has proclaimed January 17th Muhammad Ali Day.
The 17th just happens to be Ali's 60th birthday. (------------)
