Authorities say an evening of drinking turned deadly in Botetourt County.

Sheriff's Deputies responded to a home on Narrow Passage Road just after seven o'clock last night.
They arrived to find 47-year old William Clayton Sanders Jr. dead from a single gun shot wound to the chest.
Deputies have arrested Victor Loyd Rycroft and charged him with first degree murder.
The shooting happened at Rycroft's residence in Eagle Rock.

The investigation revealed the two men got into an argument after several hours of drinking with friends.

Authorities in Grayson County say a Trout Dale man has been arrested and charged with killing his three-year-old son.

Officials say Roland Shane Griffith is charged with second-degree murder and felony abuse and neglect of Dorian Zahir Cox. The boy died August 31st at a hospital after falling down a wooden stairway.

It's been nearly two months since a Roanoke landmark shuts its doors.
Since then, supporters of the Grandin theater have been working to acquire, refurbish, and re-open the facility.
As Justin McLeod discovered it may take some Hollywood magic to bring the Grandin back to life.

Two months ago, hard economic times and competition from mega movie plexes forced the Grandin to close.
