A tragic event hits the heart of the Grundy community-- and they gathered to remember the victims of Wednesday's shooting.
Hundreds attended a candlelight vigil last night on the campus of the Applachian School of Law.

Campus security experts say part of their job is to identify students who have abnormal behavior, and get them help before problems occur.

Wednesday's shootings caught the attention of security officers at small schools like Lynchburg College and Randolph Macon Woman's College.
Both schools have crisis plans in place to help them respond to major incidents.. but they also say being alert can help prevent something from happening in the first place.

He says he's running a Children's Crusade to eliminate gangs in the city, and provide better economic and educational opportunities for citizens in Northwest and Southeast Roanoke.
