A spokesman for Sheetz said the company makes money on its gasoline sales, and isn't trying to put anyone out of business.
The only ones who will be hurt, says Mike Cortez, are consumers who will be forced to pay more for a tank of gas if the bill passes.

A Roanoke woman injured in the shooting at the Appalachian School of Law in Grundy has been released from the hospital.
Rebecca Clair Brown is out and doing well, according to her brother.
She did not want to be interviewed.
The 38-year-old had been shot in the arm and stomach in the January 16th attack.
He says Brown will most likely return to the law school, where she is a first-year student.

The latest arrival comes as one of Great Britain's top leaders tried to reassure Parliament that the U.S. is not torturing its war detainees at Camp X-Ray in Guantanamo Cuba.

Young American Taliban John Walker is on the move this week -- but he won't be going to Cuba.
Instead -- the Pentagon will transfer the California man through the U.S. air base in Kandahar -- en route to a secret location.
From there he appears to be headed to Virginia.

Sheriff's deputies say an informant bought cocaine from Campbell TWICE in the Burger King parking lot.

Looters had been siphoning fuel- and some of it spilled... too close to where the lava flow is still dangerously hot.
The volcano's eruption has covered half the town- sweeping through 90 percent of the business district- cutting electricity and water supplies.
But even so residents by the thousands are returning- despite warnings that the area is still dangerous.

The Chocolate Festival is a fundraiser.
But the president of Center in the Square says the organization rarely broke even and often LOST money on the event.
Jim Sears says the festival needs to be redesigned and is searching for a new sponsor.
He hopes to be able to once again satisfy local sweet-tooths sometime in 2003.
