Good Afternoon, I'm Kimberly McBroom.
John Walker Lindh has made his first court appearance.
But his appearance did not at all resemble the images of the Taliban fighter that we've been seeing over the past several weeks.
His long hair is cut, and his beard is shaven.
Lindh told the judge today that he understands the charges against him, including conspiring to kill fellow Americans in Afghanistan.
Meanwhile, his attorney says Lindh shouldn't be judged until all of the evidence is in.
Teri Okita joins us now from the federal courthouse in Alexandria with more.
