Throughout most of the east coast, drought conditions have been developing for more than three years.
During the winter season, water levels are USUALLY re- stocked.
But our area has seen very little snow cover this year.
So for the moment, this is a hydro-logic drought, meaning water supplies like Carvins Cove are affected.
But National Weather Service forecaster, Mike Gillen, says an agricultural drought is just around the corner.

In the meantime, we need roughly twice the normal rainfall to eliminate the current drought.

A Grayson County man may be to blame for more than 100 e-Bay customers getting scammed out of 75-thousand dollars.
Federal prosecutors say Michael Paul Jackson of (freez) Fries listed computers for sale on E-Bay.
Hereceived payments from buyers in the U-S and Canada, but never sent the computers.
Jackson's charged with three counts of mail fraud and three counts of wire fraud.
He also faces three counts of bank fraud...
Prosecutors say he falsely stated on loan applications that he was employed at Virginia Western Community College.
Jackson has been in federal custody since his arrest in November, and is being evaluated to determine whether he's competent to stand trial.
He could face as much as 130 years in prison and a fine of nearly five million dollars.

Fire Safety Products conducts tests on tanks used as air packs, dive tanks and C-O-2 fire extinguishers.

Because they're subject to high pressure, the cylinders can rupture if they're not properly inspected.
