Paul Pfingst/District Attorney Authorities have already charged a neighbor in connection with Danielle's disappearance. It was just yesterday, when through a lawyer, David Westerfield pleaded not guilty to charges he kidnapped and murdered the little girl. Westerfield appeared to quiver slightly as he stood behind protective glass. Also in the courtroom, Danielle's parents Brenda and Damon. The girls mother sobbing through the entire procedure.

Investigators have focused the investigation on Westerfield ever since Danielle's disappearance. He was reportedly at the same bar where Danielle's mother Brenda partied with friends the night the girl disappeared. That next morning, the self-employed engineer and divorced father of two drove his motor home to the desert. Authorities say they found traces of Danielle's blood in the vehicle and on an article of clothing. The visitors from just south of Charlotte had to bundle up along with the home folks today, as head coach Bill Pilat imparted a few words of encouragement to his players. We pick it up tied at one-all Wingate uses the quick ball movement - throwing the pill through the wind with precision as they net the score and take a 2-to-1 lead with 3:09 left in the first. Roanoke would warm things up in the second period as with two quick goals.
