Kia is the big loser in the latest round of car bumper crash tests.
(------------)
[VO-NAT]
[SUPER=03-Washington, DC;]

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety says the 2002 Kia Sedona incurred average damage of 24-hundred dollars in four bumper crash tests conducted at five miles an hour. One test had the Sedona driven into a flat barrier... two air bags deployed, cracking the windshield and the top of the instrument panel. Damage came to more than four-thousand dollars. The institute says the performance was the worst performance of any minivan it's tested. Three other vehicles -- the 2002 models of the Subaru Impreza, Mitsubishi Lancer and Volvo S-40 -- all received a ``marginal'' rating, which is just one notch up from poor.
