No new charges will be filed against the 82-year old man accused of shooting his 16-year old neighbor.
Roanoke's chief prosecutor made that announcement today.

Although police ultimately found Hallis Jamison had three guns in his house, he had no phone and apparently felt trapped inside his home.
Officers say two girls had been harassing the man.
When their cousin went to the door to warn Jamison the girls were trying to get his car keys, Jamison fired a single shot from his 30-30 rifle. Sixteen year old Charlotte Brown died the next day.

Commonwealth's Attorney Don Caldwell cited Jamison's age, the presence of unidentified intruders and his physical helplessness among the reasons for not seeking additional charges.
Charlotte Brown's mother told News 7 she is surprised by the decision but also said she feels sorry for Jamison.

A Roanoke school bus struck and killed Lawrence Saxton last December in the Grandin Court neighborhood.
Bus driver Olin Glidden told police that he was making a left, heard the bus hit something, and then stopped.
Caldwell says he won't prosecute Glidden for several reasons, including the lack of a marked crosswalk at the accident scene, and Saxton's apparent in-attention.

Roanoke detectives flew in from Nebraska late this afternoon with 27-year-old Mark Lamont Neamo.
He's in the Roanoke city jail.
18-year-old Christopher Brian Krug landed a few minutes later.
Authorities say Krug will be jailed in Roanoke COUNTY.
Both are being held without bond on abduction and firearms counts, in the shootings at the Stop-In on Hershberger Road.
The grand jury will consider additional charges on Monday.

Cave Spring's Mac Daddy got hang out with some real Big macs yesterday as the McDonald's All-American got a fast food send-off for the next week's McDonald's all star classic at Madison Square Garden.

It was a gorgeous spring afternoon in Blacksburg as this family got a jump on the Easter Weekend.
In the bottom of the first with a runner at second, Mindi Wylie sends one to the left field fence to score Carmen Farmer. It's one to nothing Hokies.
In the bottom of the second, Tech's Tiffany Hurt will get things rolling again with a line drive over second for a standup double.
Wylie will then make her presence felt again. This time she takes it to deep center - driving in both Hurt and Farmer. It's now 3-to-nothing Hokies after two.
In the bottom of the fifth, Clarisa Crowell sends one smoking past the Gardner-Webb shortstop. Amy Voorhees score.

The Easter Bunny season is upon us and one German museum has dedicated itself to displaying the bunny's adventures.

The museum displays more than 2-thousand Easter bunnies---some of which are more than 150- years- old.
The rabbit itself has been used as a symbol by many cultures.
But the "Easter Bunny" didn't come about until 1680 when a German doctor wrote a story about a rabbit laying eggs and then hiding them for children.
Today the gift-bearing bunny has evolved into an central part of the Easter tradition.
