The Tom Wahl's chain is putting pieces of its signature Wahlburger into the ice cream -- complete with bun and lettuce.
The chain has employees make a few gallons of a novelty flavor each April first .
Then they give away free samples to anybody who wants some.
Last year's flavor featured French fries.
