Officials are calling the crash of a small plane into a skyscraper in Italy an accident.

Three people were killed when the plane punched through the 25th floor of a building in Milan. The collision gutted two floors, sent shards of glass flying and started a fire than sent smoke pouring out over downtown. The crash raised fears of a September eleventh-type terrorist attack, but officials say it was most likely a mistake.

The pilot had been flying the short trip from Switzerland to Milan. Officials say the pilot failed several times to line up with the airport runway in Milan and eventually lost contact with the control tower. He'd reported having trouble with his landing gear

Flight 93 went down in a Pennsylvania field... hundreds of miles short of Washington DCTERMS. Some family members hoped to learn of how their loved ones fought the hijackers and averted an attack on the capital.

One man who heard the tape said he learned things about the flight he never knew before, but wouldn't elaborate.

17 sailors were killed in the bombing in October 2000.

Worshippers at the Lexington Presbyterian Church are relieved to see scaffolding in their church's sanctuary instead of charred wood. After the fire there more than a year and a half ago, work continues to rebuild the church, almost exactly as it looked before the fire. Richard Lesko has more.

Workers are busy rebuilding the massive balcony which overlooked the sanctuary. The church is using steel beams instead of the original wooden ones, because of cost, and technology not available when the church was built in 1845. Work has been slow at times, but officials say it's all a part of the process of rebuilding a church from ashes.

Investigators suspect a fire that gutted a Bedford County business last night was intentionally set.

Arson investigators and an accelerant-sniffing dog were on the scene today.. and authorities say the fire is suspicious.

Montgomery County is taking steps to repossess a building that houses a struggling technology company.

Officials say it's apparent Haleos will not be able to survive financially at its Blacksburg Industrial Park location.
The company, which makes fiber optic components, has been unable to keep up with lease payments and has furloughed or laid off nearly its entire staff. Today repossession papers were filed in General District Court. The county's Industrial Development Authority owns the 108-thousand square foot building. A spokesman say they've been generous to the company, but that time has run out.

Virginia Tech quarterback Grant Noel has a torn ACL in his left knee that was revealed by an MRI yesterday morning at Montgomery Regional Hospital.

Noel, who will miss the spring game this Saturday, also underwent tests to measure the looseness of the knee. Results showed no significant looseness.
The next two weeks are crucial. If he does not require surgery, he should be back, with a brace by August. But if Noel goes under the knife, the rehab time is six months.
Reserve quarterback Bryan Randall will play for both teams in the spring game.
