Authorities don't think terrorism played in a role in the crash of a small plane into a skyscraper in Milan.

At least three people are reported dead. 60 others are injured. Authorities say the pilot, who was the only one on the plane, sent a distress signal before crashing. Witnesses told police the plane was on fire before it hit the building. One woman described the crash as sounding "like a bomb.'' She says, ``The pavement shook like an earthquake.'' Italy's interior minister is quoted as saying the initial information suggests the crash was an accident. The plane had been on a short flight from Switzerland to Milan. The Milan airport had been notified by the pilot that the plane had landing gear problems.

Bedford County authorities say a family dog may have prevented the abduction of a ten-year-old girl. The girl told deputies she was approached near her grandmother's mailbox yesterday when a man and woman drove up and ordered her into the vehicle. The child's dog apparently bit the man on his arm and leg and the pair drove off. The couple is described as a thin white male, 6- feet tall, bald with a tattoo on his left forearm and a white female with purple spiked hair.
Meanwhile, Blacksburg Police say they're also investigating an attempted abduction - this one involving an eight-year-old girl. Officials say yesterday evening two men approached her near her Blacksburg home and asked her to get in their car. The girl ran in her house and called police. The suspects are described as white males - one with spiked orange hair. Officials don't believe the two cases are related.

Noel, who will miss the spring game this Saturday, also underwent tests to measure the looseness of the knee. Results showed no significant looseness.
The next two weeks are crucial. If he does not require surgery, he should be back, with a brace by August. But if it is determined Noel needs surgery, the rehab time is six months.
Number two quarterback Bryan Randall will see action in the spring game on both teams wearing a yellow, non contact jersey.
Noel and coach Frank Beamer were unavailable for comment.
