A tractor trailer accident may create some traffic problems today along I-81 in the Radford area.
State police say the accident is blocking one northbound lane at mile marker 109, and motorists may experience some delays when crews remove the rig.

Lynchburg police are trying to determine who killed a Lynchburg couple, while the victims' two young children were apparently in the house.

Police were called to this home at 410 Sussex Street around 11:30 after concerned relatives asked them to check on the family there.
That's when the bodies of 25- year- old Anthony McKinley Robinson and 23-year-old Rhonda Whitehead Robinson were found dead inside.
Whoever killed the couple forced their way into the home.. but authorities "don't" believe this was a random murder.

The National D-Day Memorial in Bedford has SIX months to pay off 300-thousand dollars in debt... or it risks losing the property.

They filed liens this weeks for expenses dating back the past five months.. after it became apparent the Foundation had no concrete repayment plan.

Roanoke Police are investigating what is now a fatal shooting .. that happened at a busy shopping mall.
Police say 20 year old Ronald Steven Clark of Blue Ridge died overnight at Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital, several hours after he was shot at the Towers Shopping Center on Colonial Avenue.

It happened just after 8:00 last night when witnesses say they heard what sounded like a loud firecracker.
They then looked over to see a man walking away from the car with his arms crossed.

An employee of the Sanctuary Crisis Intervention Center is now accused of raping a second 14-year old girl.
30 year old Jimmy Lee Jones faces rape, sodomy and child abuse charges in Botetourt County from this second alleged incident.
Yesterday, Roanoke police charged Jones with raping another 14 year old at the center. The city owns and operates the center in Botetourt County.

Investigators are looking into the cause of an Amtrak crash that killed four people and injured dozens in northern Florida.

The National Transportation Safety board is heading up the probe in yesterday's derailment.
At a news conference, an official with the NTSB said they're following up on a report that the train's engineer threw on the emergency brakes when he noticed a problem with the tracks.
So far, excessive heat has been ruled out as a factor in the crash.
Investigators say it was only 81 degrees at the time of the derailment.
