20-year old Ronald Steven Clark of Blue Ridge was shot in the face and later died.

Police arrived to find a man shot in the face in the driver's seat of this white sedan.
It didn't take long for officers to realize this wasn't a suicide.

Nearly a year after fire devastated the campus of Longwood College, officials say they are almost ready to put the pieces back together.

Last year's fire destroyed academic buildings and damaged four dorms at the school in Farmville.
The fire was ruled an accident and rebuilding of the academic complex is expected to begin this summer, including reconstruction of the Rotunda that had been the centerpiece of the campus.
Next week-- Governor Mark Warner will visit the school on the fire's anniversary to sign legislation making Longwood a university.
