The state's politically explosive re-districting case was back in court yesterday.
State Attorney General Jerry Kilgore asked the state Supreme Court to quickly set aside a Salem judge's ruling.
Kilgore's motion asks the state's high court to bar Judge Richard Pattisall from enforcing his order that new legislative lines be drawn, AND new House of Delegates elections be held this year.
In March, Pattisall ruled that the Republican-dominated Legislature sought to win more seats, by packing Democratic-leaning black precincts into fewer districts.
