Here's a look at what Leo Hirsbrunner called diminishing winds this afternoon in the Salem yard. Kinston went on top 4-to-nothing before the Avs scratched the board. Christian Berroa who was hitting 135, lines one last third in the bottom of the second to plate Brad Hawpe and it's 4-to-1. Then in the fifth the Avs got themselves in position to do something special. Jeff Winchester's blast to deep center goes to the base of the wall and he ends up with a standup double. Cory Sullivan would later lay down the nice bunt down third. He will be safe on the throwing error and Winchester will score to make it a 4-to-2 game. Justin Lincoln would make it 4-to-3, as he scores on Melvin Rosario's fielder's choice to the right hand side of the infield.
