Virginia became the first state in the nation to officially apologize for the practice of eugenics.
It was a plan started in the 1920's to prevent people from reproducing if they had traits the state considered less-than-desirable.

The practiced began three years later and ended in 1979.

Today's apology comes a little over a year after the House of Delegates passed a resolution expressing regret over the policy of eugenics. Governor Warner also said today he is confident those apologizes won't lead to litigation from the families who underwent sterilization.

Some drove all night to be there.

Make sure the shoes fit good in the back and you have enough room in the front to wiggle your toes.
He recommends women limit how often they wear high heel shoes because they are not designed for the feet and can lead to problems.

Other conditions include athletes foot, blisters, heel pain, and ingrown nails. If you have any these conditions its best to consult a podiatrist. Wimbish says if you take proper care of your health --your feet will feel better as well.

Sprint is again the primary sponsor for this year's ride.
